Slope stabilisation is carried out by suitable methods — rock bolting and shotcrete being the two we apply most often on hydro project cut slopes and tunnel portals. Which one leads depends on whether the face is failing along joints, ravelling, or losing surface material to weathering.
Because we also run pull out testing of grouted rock anchors as an in-situ service, anchor performance on our own stabilisation work can be verified rather than assumed.
